Talent is overrated. Skill is acquirable.

Born to run (things)

Talent is indeed overrated, and it takes a lot of practice to acquire skills. Gaining skills in writing, programming, music all takes time and effort. The more time and effort you put in, the better you will become.

Another blog post that continually sticks in my mind, and is similar in topic. To be great, you need to be good constantly.
